Description
The waterproof travel humidor with hygrometer built for cigar lovers who refuse to risk a great smoke. The Explorer Series by ProTravelHumidors delivers military-grade protection in a slim, carry-on-ready profile — engineered for flights, golf trips, off-road adventures, and everyday carry.
Check the gauge without breaking the seal: the mechanical hygrometer is visible from the outside, so you never have to open the case just to see where the humidity sits.
Note: This product includes only the travel cigar case. Cigars, lighter, and cutter shown in images are for display purposes only and are not included.
Travel Humidor With Hygrometer — Monitor Without Breaking the Seal
One of the most frustrating problems with ordinary travel humidors is that opening them to check humidity disrupts the internal climate. The Explorer Series solves this with a built-in mechanical hygrometer visible from the outside — check your humidity at a glance, seal always intact.
When you’re ready to open, a gentle squeeze near the reinforced latches equalizes the internal air pressure, making access effortless even at altitude. The airtight rubber gasket does the rest, locking humidity in and keeping dust, sand, and moisture out.
Why the Explorer Series Tactical Travel Cigar Case Outperforms the Rest
Pro-Tip: Pack the case first, close it, and give it ten minutes before you zip it into your bag. That short pause lets the seal settle, so the humidity holds through a full day of flying.
Most travel cigar cases fail when it matters most — crushed in luggage, dried out by cabin air, or cracked by a rough landing. The Explorer Series was built to solve every one of those problems.
The hard-shell ABS body has been pressure-tested to withstand 75kg+ of static load — about the weight of an adult standing on the closed case, or a fully packed suitcase. The precision-fit foam interior cradles each cigar individually, preventing any movement or damage in transit.
We sell direct from ProTravelHumidors, so the price reflects the shell, the foam and the hardware — not layers of retail markup. That is how a case with a built-in hygrometer lands near the price of one without it.

Tactical Travel Cigar Case FAQ
Can I take this through airport security?
Yes. The case is TSA-friendly. Cigars are permitted in carry-on luggage. Remove any torch lighter before boarding and check your airline’s policy for cigars.
How long will my cigars stay fresh?
With the included mini humidifier or a Boveda 69% pack, your cigars stay at optimal humidity for 14+ days. Results vary based on climate and frequency of opening.
Do I need to season this case before use?
No seasoning required. Charge the mini humidifier with distilled water or PG solution, place it inside, close the case for 24 hours, and it’s ready to use.
What’s the difference between this and the T10?
The Explorer Series is our slim 5-cigar everyday carry case. The T10 holds 10 cigars with a pull-out metal tray — ideal for longer trips.
For the complete travel setup, pair this case with our Damascus Cigar Cutter and Triple Torch Lighter Multi-Tool — or save with our Cigar Gift Set bundles.
Care and maintenance
- Dry it after every trip. Empty the case, leave the lid open overnight so the foam and gasket dry. Put it away damp and the foam starts to smell.
- Clean the foam with water only. A damp cloth, no soap, no alcohol — both break down the foam and leave a residue that transfers to wrappers.
- Keep the gasket clean. Sand and dust are what make a seal leak. Wipe the rubber ring after a beach or golf trip.
- Charge the humidifier with distilled water or PG solution, not tap water; minerals clog it and can leave white marks on the foam.
- Use it for travel, not storage. A sealed case holds humidity for a trip; long-term ageing still belongs in a desktop humidor.
- Keep it out of a hot car. Above 72F and 72% RH, tobacco beetles can hatch — the case protects the cigars, not the temperature.
