Travel humidors FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions | Protravelhumidors - Expert Cigar Travel Advice

The Science of Protection

Why is Spanish Cedar lining essential for a travel humidor?

Spanish Cedar is the "gold standard" for cigar storage. It helps balance humidity fluctuations, discourages cigar beetles, and imparts a subtle, classic aroma that complements the tobacco. Unlike pure plastic cases, Protravelhumidors integrate Spanish Cedar to maintain the cigar's soul during transit.

Are the Explorer Series cases truly waterproof?

Absolutely. Our Explorer (ABS) Series features a heavy-duty silicone gasket and reinforced latches. They are designed to be airtight and waterproof, making them perfect for boating, golf, or travel in humid climates.

Maintenance & Care

How long can my cigars stay fresh inside the case?

With our airtight seals, your cigars will stay at a stable RH for 7-14 days without any additional humidification. For longer trips, we recommend adding a small 69% Boveda pack.

Will it fit large-gauge cigars like a 60-ring Churchill?

Yes! We specifically designed our internal dimensions to accommodate modern sizes. Most of our cases fit cigars up to 8 inches in length and up to a 60-ring gauge.

Shipping & Warranty

Do you ship to Europe and North America?
