It depends on which series you own.

For the Explorer Series (ABS hard case):
The airtight seal is IP67‑rated, which means the case holds humidity extremely well. We recommend using a 62% or 65% Boveda pack directly inside the case – no need for additional sponges. Because of the superior seal, the humidity will stabilise quickly and stay constant for weeks. Over‑humidifying can cause condensation, so a small Boveda pack is all you need.

For the Heritage Series (leather + cedar):
Before first use, you must “season” the Spanish cedar lining. Lightly wipe the interior cedar surfaces with a distilled‑water‑dampened cloth (never wet), insert a 69% Boveda pack, and close the case for 24‑48 hours. This allows the wood to absorb moisture naturally. After seasoning, your cigars will stay at the perfect 65‑72% RH range during travel.

Pro tip: Always use distilled water if you choose to recharge any humidification device – tap water causes mold and clogs the cedar pores.

Yes, the Explorer Series is designed and tested to meet IP67 water and dust resistance standards. This means the case can be submerged in up to 1 meter of fresh water for 30 minutes without any water entering the interior.

To maintain this waterproof rating, regularly inspect the blue/black silicone sealing gasket. Remove any dust, cigar flakes, or hair that may have collected on the gasket or the sealing channel. A clean gasket is the only way to guarantee full protection when you travel near water, on a boat, or in heavy rain.

Note: The Heritage leather series is water‑resistant (splash‑proof) but not designed for submersion.

Yes, we ship globally via DHL, FedEx, or UPS, depending on your location. We use double‑wall reinforced packaging to ensure your travel humidor arrives in perfect condition, no matter how far it travels.

Typical delivery times are 5–12 business days, and every order comes with a tracking number sent to your email as soon as the package leaves our warehouse. Customs processing may occasionally add 2‑3 days, but we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

For urgent orders, please contact us before placing your order – we can often expedite shipping.

We offer a 14‑day worry‑free return policy. Cigars come in many ring gauges (up to 60+) and lengths (up to 8 inches), so we strongly recommend checking the “Capacity Guide” on each product page before ordering.

If the travel humidor does not fit your cigars as expected, and the product is unused, in its original packaging, and all accessories are intact, simply contact our support team at support@protravelhumidors.com to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Once approved, we will guide you through the return process.

Please note: Custom‑engraved or personalised series are not eligible for return unless defective.

Yes. We are confident in the build quality of our Explorer Series. All ABS latches and hinges are covered by a 2‑year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.

Every latch has passed 5,000+ open/close cycle tests without failure. If a latch breaks or becomes unusable under normal use within two years, we will send you a free replacement part or replace the entire case at no cost (shipping included).

The warranty does not cover damage from obvious misuse, drops on hard surfaces, or exposure to extreme heat. For full details, please refer to our Warranty page.
